My backstory

My interest for photography started when I was 10 years old. It was and still is my dads hobby so I got inspired by him to try it out myself. I fell in love and starting taking pictures of EVERYTHING. Then one christmas my parents gifted me my first proper camera.

After graduating high school I applied to my dream college Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam. I was very nervous and unsure if I would get accepted since only a small amount of people get accepted each year. Plus, I did not have a back up plan so I really needed to get accepted. Luckily I secured a spot! I started my own business during my three years of college. And finally I graduated with a degree in Audio Visual Production, specializing in Photography.

I took on the role of studio manager at my former internships workplace, Studio Scheef. I have made a lot of my personal work there. Martijn and Rein, the owners, had a big influence on my view of photography and business in general.

In 2020, right when the pandemic hit. I made a rather spontanious decision and moved to Norway. Åndalsnes is a beautiful little town, but a bit too quiet for me. After 3 years of living there I was really missing the liveliness from my hometown Delft and I ended up moving to Ålesund instead. Finally feeling more at home, my passion started bubbling back up and I have been doing some projects here and there!
